My DH brought home a low carb bagel from manhattan bagel.
It was really good! granted it still has 18gm of carbs, so
only good for maint/pre-maint, but still a nice treat.

Hi Julie,

It looks like you are doing just great without a low-carb grocery store nearby! It's not all it's cracked up to be - for instance, today I actually agonized over wether or not to pay $5.50 for a tiny jar of "low-carb" spagheti sauce. I decided not to - but how scary is that?

Smile Hey Thanks Liz!

Yeah your are right about the stores...my Ingles has Carb Options Ragu for 3.00 (not too small)!

Lisa mentioned the Whole Food Stores...I love those places, I haven't been much since they changed from Harry's Farmers Market...I sold my copper roofed birdhouses to Harry's for 10 years, I used to have to deliver to all the stores in one day (10 stores) ...I loved going to visit...I think my husband did even more, I think he could eat the profit before we got home!! I also loved their flowers!

Hey Everybody...I know one thing for sure...it does not feel May 4th with this weather (not that I am compaining)

Well I better get started on my daily chores...I drop by later!

Cheers!
Julie

Hi all, Thomasville , Ga here. It seem like I may be one of the only south Ga folks here, everyone else seems to be from the Atl area. Well I used to ride quite a bit and plan on getting back into it, I may "look some of you folks up" when the time comes, I would visit Atlanta for a weekend of cycling. I am only in my second week of Adkins and have lost 5 pounds, not a big amount but it is encouraging.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Sam

Greetings all... I live in Dacula. The Kroger here as well as the Publix are starting to carry a lot of low carb items. I am really impressed.

Yes, the Kroger store here in Kennesaw has started to carry soo much LC stuff. Most of it is fairly cheap too. I am also very impressed.

Hi all! I'm also here in Kennesaw. I am buddies with my Publix manager (Bells Ferry and 575). He has gotten in so many new LC items. Love it! Hey Gachic, I go to the Curves next to Kroger. Don't know if it's the same Kroger or not! I love Curves. Everyone is really nice. I'm trying to tighten up as I lose.

Hi all,

I heard about a store in Buford called the "Lite-house" which is all low carb stuff, apparantly the lady makes a lot of it herself, has anyone checked it out? I keep meaning to go but its a bit of a hike from Marietta so haven't gotten there yet...

That's not the same Kroger but I know where you're talking about. I use to go to the Curves in Acworth on Cobb Pkwy. Yes, Curves is great....I also found everyone to be very friendly. I haven't noticed any new LC products at the Publix over here, however Super Wal-mart has a huge selection also.
