Default Permitted foods on Atkins diff. from CKD?

I was reading a permitted foods list for atkins and found that some foods were not permitted that I see people on a CKD eat. And vice versa. For example, you can eat berries on atkins, but are not supposed to eat on a CKD, because sugar from fruit stays in your liver too long. Now on a CKD, you can eat nuts, including peanuts, but on atkins, you can only eat certain nuts in like the 2nd or 3rd stage, but never peanuts. And my biggest question is for salsa, is it permitted on a CKD? Any info would be great!

It is good to eat fruit (2 apples) about 1 hour prior to your depletion workout to fill liver glycogen up so the post depletion carbs go into the muscles.
I don't eat much fruit during the LC phase.
I eat nuts as long as I can stay under 20g a day on LC days.
As far as the Salsa goes it is OK just watch your daily carb levels.

It's alright to eat whatever you WANT on ckd as long as you stay in ketosis. Nuts, berries, low carb bread, WHATEVER you want as long as the amount of carbs you eat does not kick you out of ketosis. Generally that is 20 for some people 30 for others and maybe even more for others.

I eat berries all the time, but in limited quantities. Strawberries, blueberries, rasberries are ALL LOADED with anti-oxidants. I often eat 3 or 4 medium-large strawberries with lunch, no prob.

Nuts, same thing, loaded with healthy fats, just make sure everything you eat in a day is under your level of carbs that will keep you in ketosis and you're all set. OH, and you HAVE to stay within your calorie limit also, of course!
