Talking Low Carb Clear broth soup

Hiya Karen!!

I really did try and find your recipe for creamless cream soup. But to no avail.

I'm sorry. I am very sick with pneumonia and am dying for some soup. I want to make some but preferably with a clear broth and no dairy.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Thank you in advance.

UA Girl - I appreciate you wanting to stay low carb and think you should when you can BUT your health should be the priority now.

Eat... (as well as you can) and get your strength back and then worry about weightloss.

Take care of yourself!!

I agree with Ikonzelman. Right now the most important thing is you getting healthy again. I hope that happens soon.

Thank you both!!

I think I came up with something though. I entered it in fitday and got a whole big pot of soup for 21 carbs minus 10 fiber.

Hi UAGirl,

The key to making creamless "cream" soup is pureeing vegetables cooked in the soup until they're smooth like babyfood. A blender is more effective than a food processor for this.

Hope that helps.

Thank you Bike!!

Well I took the "don't worry" advice. I actually got really bad and had to leave work and go to the Doc. He was horrified to say the least. Short story, after X-rays and all, I have the onset of brochil-pneumonia.

My fiancee went out, dropped off my scripts and got me beef stew!! I ate it. I did not eat the potatos though.

I figure it was roughly 40 carbs, so I'll live.

I have made sure I have enogh stuff to fix a casserole or something for tomorrow.
