Default Patience

Yesterday was day 15. Coming home tired, faced with the challenge of putting some good choices together while observing my desire to start putting things in my mouth. I realize how much fatigue plays a roll in my struggle to eat sanely. I had a good meal on plan and no snacks so I am on plan. However my weight is not dropping very fast still at 165. Replacing my worst habit with a good one will be life changing. I was never going to slim down the way I was going, at least now I have a reason to expect some weight loss even though it is slow coming. Nancy

Nice work Jean!

I'm going to jump back in and state an objective for the next practice period. You guys are inspiring!

Default Day 2

I am refocusing and refining my efforts. Dr. Eric Berg recommends 7-10 servings of vegetables to get adequate daily amounts of potassium. It is a challenge to get this many servings, while doing Intermittent Fasting, especially since eating keto suppresses the appetite. Finally, I may have figured out how to meet my nutritional needs.

90-Day Good Habit - planning and prepping nutritious LC meals.

This is Day 2 of my new focus.

For this practice period ending July 1st 2018 my aim is to incorporate two fasted day per week (IF) likely using Alternate Day Fasting (ADF). These fasts might be "fatFasts" too where up to 800 kcal of fat may be used but zero carbohydrate and just trace protein (i.e. butter) - should be fun and interesting.

It would be beneficial to weigh <=90 Kg this summer for particular boardsports where weight really DOES matter

Thud:
Interesting goals. I had to read it twice to understand it. So what are you tracking on a weekly basis?

Ken:
I love the twist on your challenge. Makes me wonder if I would like to do something like that in the future. But I am a "rule follower" and it helps to know I need to declare a pass if I goof up. It has been a pretty good deterrent for me. I will be interested to see how you like this way of keeping data.

Nancy:
You really impress me at how serious you are being at trying to make this challenge a new habit and way of eating. I think it will really help in the long haul, even if you aren't seeing a lot of initial weight loss.

IFnewstart:
Love, love, love your challenge goal. That is so important for me to do if I am going to be successful. Do you have any specific goals or ideas about prepping the meals?

Jean:
You are really doing a good job on limiting your computer use! Kuddos to you!

Kristine:
Good job on acing all four of your goals a lot recently!

Ms Arielle:
Seems like adding the LC veggies goal is going well for you.

I know I am missing the woman who has the writing goals. I looked as far back as my screen would show me while I was typing this and could not find a post. I don't want to leave this page and lose what I have written. So anyway, hope you have a good day of writing for project one and/or project two! I will be looking forward to reading the book!

IF Newstart: Do you like avocados? An avocado has a whopping 1,000 mg potassium.

Kauaimom: Thanks! Glad you're in a groove, too.

Ken: I like how you're defining that. I've thought of tracking similar to that, too: I'd give myself grades. A,B,C,D,F.

Thud: glad you're back.

Day 65

1. Activity:done
2. Weigh-in: done
3. Supps: done
4. Food: not quite X

Food freebies used: 11/5

We have a new peanut butter filling at work, and I decided to try it. It was awful. It tastes like the peanuts were rancid. The end.

day 16

Yesterday was a success in terms of my new habit challenge. I am truly very pleased with this forum and this particular 90 day workshop. I would not be having this two weeks of clear headedness otherwise.

I was listening to Dr.Jason Fung last night, and
today I am going to do a 17- 9 fast. (I really want to see results on the scale.)

THUD Nice to see you back .

Keeping it real..Nancy

hope everyone has a great day.

Days 5 of 90

Goal of this challenge: Simply to tally how well I do sticking to my diet plan over the next 90 days.

Good days: 4
So-so eating: 0
Off the mark: 1
Late snacks: 1

Yesterday: 26 net carbs, 76 total carbs, 2200 calories and 26K steps including a workout at the gym. A fat loss day for sure. Going back to this high fiber version of LC seems to be the right move for me. I've eaten well all week and it has been fairly effortless. I'm no longer skipping lunch at work as I had been for nearly 2 years. That may have something to do with it, too. I'm eating less at dinner. Satiety has been good, even with a couple of good gym workouts in the mix.

Default day 3 of 5 this week

goal: 15 min of creative writing, research or extracting writing from journal notes 5 days a week for my project/s.

Spent 20 min writing down details for character ideas from someone I met yesterday, and someone quite similar that I met tonight. Combined I think they will make one good character.

K-Mom, thank you! I choose 2 nights not to write, and when I do those consecutively, it looks like I haven't been on in awhile There are a lot of us now, which I think is great. I haven't done anything like this at all, so just hoping I get it finished, let alone getting it published!!

What I do when I don't want to lose what I started posting post but need to go back for something is just go back to my email and click on the link again, it'll open up the forum again in another window.

You are doing well with your goals, too! You have everything covered!

Thud!! Glad you are joining the party!
