I heard a rumor that they are helping to negotiate world peace. Can anyone substantiate that rumor?

If they aren't - oh well, at least they have revolutionized my dieting experience. That's something at least!

Ever since I've read the post about DEVO's 'whip it' song, the fritzen thing won't get out of my head.

I had to resort to drastic measures.

So I wrote a song.

Wanna hear it?.....??

I do assume you said yes!

Okay- here-goes……

Are you ready!?….

You are my oopsies, my little oopsies… [wah, wah, wah, wah, ---that’s my geetar there]

You make me happy, when I crave bread…
You’ll never know dear, how much I love you……
And I just can’t leave this thread!!

Ya’ll join in now....com-on…

You are my oopsies, my little oopsies…
You help me stay away from carbs…
If I get hungry, you’re always handy.
And princess Cleo should market them……[I know-- I know, that didn’t rhyme]

Oh but hey, you should hear the wicked geetar licks I’m doin’ for this gig!!

thankya---thankya---vera musch!!

Gawd, I need a life…..

That's all? We have clearly not been creative enough. It's so, SO much more.

Cleo, today is my date-day with my daughter. On the last day of every month (or nearest saturday), we go eat something we shouldn't at Olive Garden, then buy one item we most want (usually a piece of clothing), then spend all day drinking mocha frappes (which we shouldn't) and sitting around reading in the books-a-million store. When mom finishes her book, we go home LOL. Tomorrow I'll be buying a wheelbarrow and some soil amendments for my garden and seeding a new flat and things like that, at least until the predicted thunderstorm. The fabulous Regina outlined a new far more intelligent plan (than my current un-plan) we start officially Monday. But I am *hoping* to get the clearcoat off my new copper bowl Sunday night and try these darn things!

Has anybody tried baking these in a deeper silicon muffin pan so they could be sliced (thicker)? Would they get done in the middle?

Has anybody tried adding tiny amounts of other ingredients like almond meal or flax seed meal?

PJ

I made some in half of a bread pan so it was all piled up. I had to bake it for more time. Unfortunately, they don't rise well enough for slicing, but it made little biscotti-type slices that was wonderful for a bit o' somethin' on the side of my meal or as a snack (smeared with butter, herbed cheese, or pate)

oh, and yes. I've used almond meal and they were fabulous.

I've also used some carbquick and they were wonderful and didn't have that icky soy taste.

How much almond meal? For a normal recipe? C'mon, DISH!

(Admit it. You're just trying to make me beg.)

um... let me try to remember (I am one of those cooks who just toss stuff in and pray)
I think it was about a tablespoon (a heaper) to the yolk batter.

when I did the carbquick/soy flour thing, I did it like Atkins said in his 72 book. I took a sieve and shook in a tablespoon over the batter.

Being from the South, I know that several of the recent UFO sightings turned out to be Oopsies. Except mine, of course. Mine was real.
