Today is SATURDAY SEPT 12th and this is a 5 lb challenge. It is OPEN TO ANYONE THAT FOLLOWS DANDR..1972 or 1992

Positive attitudes and a sense of humor is a big help.
FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!.....NASA (and US!)

~~~~~~WE DO NOT FAIL BECAUSE WE KEEP TRYING, AND THAT IS BECAUSE
IT IS NOT THE HAND YOU WERE DEALT BUT THE WAY YOU PLAY THAT HAND THAT COUNTS!
We have learned and keep learning how our bodies adjust to the ever changing dynamics of life. We follow the Philosophies set forth by DR ATKINS in DANDR..1972 or 1992 versions.
It does not get easier as we get to goal and we accept that we will keep trying and not give in to old habits. We move forward, even if we take steps backward, we strive for success.
Tam.............07/11/15..........329.4........09/02/15.........301.0........28.4
Lost a little.....then gained a lot. Foods were okay yesterday, but ate out late last night and ate too much. My husband's late working hours are killing me. I can't eat at 8:30 at night three times a week.
Paulette: I truly feel for you as this has to be frustrating for you. Maybe if you add in the cottage cheese and some other types of LC foods it may help to get things moving again...even if you only did it temporarily and then went back to your regular foods. Sometimes I think you body tends to adjust to the same foods and exercise and it is harder to lose. I'm not a good one to offer advice as I've been struggling along with you. However, it seems like for me, if I allow myself a "cheat" meal and then get right back on it the next day and really follow the plan, I tend to lose a lot faster. You are so diligent with your eating, so I know you know that higher carb intake can't happen very often, but for me, it sometimes helps to get things moving.
Tam: Great job in taking the game...and putting me out of my misery. Hopefully, I'll do better in the next game.
Brenda: It looks like you just need added to the chart, but we can fix that with the next game. Then you just cut and paste the chart. When you update your current weight and how much you have to go or how much you have lost, depending on the game, you just put a "*" behind the loss or amount to go so that everyone can see who has updated for the day. Depending on time, some of us get fancy with the size of the text, colors, or icons, but it's not necessary. It just helps to make it fun!
Chrissie/Kathy: Sorry that you are both dealing with the blues! It seems that many of us are in a funk....me included!! Do you think it's because our summer fun and travels are coming to an end? I don't have TOM to blame it on anymore, but I've been frustrated with my eating and resulting stalls/gains and have also been pressured with my work, especially knowing that I'm going on vacation at the end of them month and then will have our State survey, the week after I get back. Also, there seems to be a lot going on personally with stress and health issues of some close friends and family members. I guess we all have things we have to deal with and we deal with them well the majority of the time, but it's sometimes hard!
Cricket: It is raining her as well...in fact it's been pouring for hours. For me, it's a good excuse to stay home and get stuff done that I put off most of the summer while we're running.
Good luck to Jodi and Beckham today!!! I hope he does well, despite the weather.
Sorry for the gain. I'm sure it will come down later today and you'll see the loss tomorrow.
Himi: Hope you are still alive and I we hear from you today! Your posts are too funny..I enjoy them! I am always the one in my family that tries to eat up the expired foods so no one else gets sick. I used to do this with eggs all the time before I started eating them every day. Now they don't have a chance to expire.
I'll check back later!
Barb
no tome for many comments but cheers to to TAM!
PAULETTE: add carbs and calories. You are officially stalled. $ mos is criteria...keep about 20 or near.. and go up to 1500-1700 cals. I bet your met burn level is higher.Your metabolism needs a kick in the pants and yes, go add your cottage cheese. IF you see you are gaining with it then lower the amount and frequency.. trade off another cheese for it.Add fats for calories. I will bet this will break you through.
Jodi had great rides and she is thrilled with Beckham.
TAM.. it is nice to weigh later and I sually do but somedays you can't and I KLNOW I do not have 10 pounds of PEE in me LOL...
REMINDER TO PLEASE: do not quote the entire post etc.. no one does that here since it takes up too much room. Just put in your answer please.The writer of the post will know what you are talling about as we all will..TY
YES< win the most in one week is the game for this next round and it will begin TOMORROW with today's weight..seems unfair since I have this rediculous gain.
I did have a large steak for lunch and SA today. Not buying foods and need to have all the stuff I have been haording while shopping a while ago. SO, what will be will be but I WILL be following plan..just too many proteins I bet. I do need higher protein for healing and so I am doing that.. the really old ATKINS' menatality..MEAT and more MEAT. drinking lots of tea w/hc.Calories will be high no doubt.Ketosis with the low carbs should kick in regardless.
With me having the eyes done soon, I feel I need to focus on the cellular integrity of healing needs and not be concerned about the calories as much. To me anything over 1000 is a lot LOL..so, maybe this will kick losses into high gear too!
Brenda....we are all in this again together. Only Lisa is needed to put this gang back to the stalled mode and new beginnings!
We all did this before and so you are not alone.
HIMI...and CHRISSIE.. look how far you have come this game!!!
NEw chart to be posted as soon as all the weights are in.Look for the new thread GAME 20??? A-TEAMS' one week BIGGEST LOSER!
show update: Beckham won Championship in his division and best of all and amazing is he got the highest total scores of any other horse there and there were lots!!! My guess is that there were at about 60 rides at least. Jodi is riding on a cloud!
I am riding on fat. I can only think that I am having interference with the meds.Between the BP pill retaining water and that from the pain meds.. and the muscle relaxants...what a mess. Whatever it is I am staying true on plan and avoiding Carl and his taking us out!
BRENDA... just do the C&P of the entire page minus the personal comments and post that..you need to click the GO ADVANCE box under the comment box and post in there.You do your editing at that time and then just click POST QUICK REPLY ..easy peasy.. you will get the hang of it!
Tam you go girl!! You rock! Hopefully the house cleaning burned lots of fat and you can show another loss in the morning. Sorry you didn't get in your "me" time but hope you got a lot accomplished instead.
Brenda welcome back! It's so great to have you back active on the team. I see you're taking a ride in the mable mobile. HOpefully it will be short and sweet.
Paulette my sweet patient friend! I am so in awe of how you persevere even when you don't see losses. I don't know how you do it! If I had loss that slowly I would not have made it. I sincerly hope you get a big whoosh that sticks soon. If I could send you my metabolism I surely would! "Hugs"
Chrissie i'm sorry we're both in a funk! I'm feeling a little better today. I hope the same goes for you.
Himi my dad is filipino so i'm fully aware of kimchi! You are better than me. I was forced to try it once and that was enough for me! Ewww!
Barb I'm not so sure when you eat really makes that much difference in the long game. I work graveyards and eat at 2am three days a week and when i'm off I still sometimes eat at 2 or 3 am. 24 hours is 24 hours. I think sometimes it may make a difference for a day or two and then catch up but no worries my friend it will all equal out in the end. I'm proof of that. Best of luck next game.
Jodi congratulaions i'm so glad Beckham performed well and that you enjoyed yourself. Enjoy that cloud champ!!
Cricket i'm so happy you were there to see Jodi win. Makes that miserable drive worth it. I'm sure you're just doing the water dance! You'll probably take this next game in less than 2 days!
Hope you ladies are having a lovely sleepy time! Hugs and whooshie wishes to all!!
