Default Cookbooks??

I love cooking/baking and i've been on atkins for about a month and I'm cooking/baking for my family.
Do i need to spend my money on those cookbooks? Theres so many recipes online! And whenever i buy cookbooks, i only use a few recipes and never look at them again.
Should i just buy them? if so, which ones would u recommend?
The atkins new cookbook? or other regular low carb cookbooks? (the regular low carb cookbooks have MUCH more recipes and is cheaper than the atkins cookbook)

I get my recipes online and I have the "Atkins for life" book it has quite a few recipes in it.You could probably check out some low carb cookbooks at the your local library, then you wont be wasting money on books you wont look at again lol!HTH

I think Dana Carpender's 500 Low-Carb Recipes is invaluable. I've never yet gone wrong with any recipe of hers I've tried. (I really enjoy her Lowcarbzine! newsletter too -- see www.holdthetoast.com.)

I cook a lot and try at least one new recipe a week. I get a lot of them online, too. Here are some sites:

Good thread.

I'm actually just beginning to cook for the first time in my life NOW. (And I'm 40) In the past, I've always worked 2 jobs or the equivilant craziness. I even bought a Kitchen Aid !

I wish there was a cookbook named, Very Low Carb Recipes your whole family will love, with 7 ingredients or less" Now THAT would be grand!!!

I also bought the Dana Carpender book. It looks fabulous, although I have not actually tested any recipes. They look pretty easy. too!
I found a good on-line source for some recipes, too. Although I think she is publishing a book also. The last time I checked the site there were not as many recipes accessible.
