Default bean substitutes?

I am looking for a substitute for beans in chili and other recipes that call for white, red or kidney beans. Thanks

Bonnie from another Bonnie...here is a link to a couple of recipes using Eden's BLack Soy Beans...:

and a link to the product....fourth item down:

I have a cupboard full of these and use them in all my chili recipes...good luck B

This is the third bean question to pop up in a couple of days. Must be because it's winter and everyone is making chili!

Yes, Eden Black Soya Beans are lower in carbs than the beans you mentioned but not as low as the Low Carb Luxury website states. The fiber has been pre-subtracted from carbohydrates so the actual count is indeed 8 grams per serving.

Here is a link with an email from the Eden Company verifying it.

With all that said, you don't even need to use beans in certain dishes, many - chili included - taste great without it.
