Default Low/No carb hot beverages?

Has anyone come across low/no carb hot beverages?

'Tis about that time of year, and I was thinking about spiced cider, hot chocolate, etc...and then remembered the sugar content in those things!

Also, I haven't been to the store to check labels yet - but are hot teas generally low carb? (the tea-bag steep in hot water type)

Thanks!

hot tea has no carbs unless it has been sweetened with something.

i like the Keto hot chocolate - i add cream and splenda to it. about 2 carbs per serving - i think.

i looked at the sugar free cider packets and they have about 14 carbs per serving - so i didnt try it.

hope this helps.

All teas are nearly no carbs as long as you are brewing them yourself (put it in the water and steep). You can make low carb hot chocolate with either cream/half and half or LC Hood milk. Heat in the microwave, add some unsweetened cocoa powder, a little vanilla, splenda or other sweetener to taste. Its yummy too. Spiced cider become problematic simply due to the apple juice but I do know that some stores sell it in "diet" forms. You can buy packets of spiced cider near the hot chocolate packets but it really isn't very good.

Swiss Miss makes diet hot chocolate that uses Splenda and has 3-4 carbs -- I forget which. I love the stuff -- although it does have a tendency to settle to the bottom of your cup!
