Default 11 yr old following plan not losing???

My husband and I are following the plan and successfully losing weight, however, our 11 yr old (5 ft. 174 lbs) hasn't lost weight in 2 weeks now. He hasn't gained any back either. He lost 6 pounds the first two weeks and we are still following induction but no loss. Could his exercise level make enough of a difference to slow this down? Do kids lose slower than adults? Thanks!

Smile Hi

I have a 12 year old and he was having a similiar problem (he's doing CAD) but about two weeks ago I added full fat yogert (It has sugar) and he started losing weight. I think he needed more carbs than what I eat. He's eating less yogert now but more berries and veggies. I don't know if his weight loss will continue.
By the way my son is only 30lbs overweight.

Children also need more calcium then adults. I don't know if low calcium effects weight loss, but they did a study proving added calcium suppliments really sped up weight loss. He may also just be on a plateau and patience will pay off. If he's exercising regularly, the fat may be leaving, but muscle being built. Try using a tape measure instead of just a scale.

He's not trading lunch at school or getting treats from somewhere is he? If he's feeling denided he might try to sneak some. Offer low carb sweet treats, or salty ones and everyone will be less likely to have extra carbs.
