hi-
Pat, I buy those little multicolored peppers (in a 1lb bag) and stuff them with pimento cheese for an appetizer. This sounds great.

Going to be a fun 4 days. Going out tonight- I like the restaurant and will have a nice RM without dessert. Nice evening with friends. Tomorrow we have concert tickets and are having a casual bbq dinner before- I will have a salad and a beef brisket sandwich with slaw as a side for my RM. Saturday and Sunday I'm having people for dinner. Saturday the couple are strict vegetarians- so I will make a dinner with no meat or fish. Sunday night will be grilled lamb- different couple!
Later-
E

When not travelling about, I will be much more present here. I am seriously on a mission now not only for myself, but for my husband as well.
Due to my fil's health, may be posting sporadically for next couple of weeks, but then you will wish I was on the road still.

I understand how that can be-only getting around to posting sporadically.
We all only have so much time and energy in one day.

I hope you find the journey enjoyable too Patricia!

As for myself; I've come to the conclusion i definitely need to back off from the
high intensity exercise even though i'm enjoying it.
Its giving me very inconsistent energy levels. Some days i have zero energy for anything afterwards. I'm prone to low blood sugar too.
Yesterday; i decided my usual walk was not getting my heart rate up enough so i really pushed it and starting running too as much as possible.
Today I'm just super hungry and craving carbs so much and my usual CM's are just not satisfying whatsoever. Think i should really stick with just walking.

Then i read this article; seems to be true for me; stress always makes things harder.

http://www.independent.ie/life/heal...t-35733939.html

Eno; how did you get on with the vegetarian meal? I wonder if it's possible to be on this plan and a vegetarian as well.

hi-
the vegetarian meal is tonight. One of my best friends is a vegetarian who eats fish (pescatarian), but she is also LC and finds it a challenge. She is a vegetarian for spiritual reasons- since being in High school- but seriously considered changing for LC. She eats a lot of sardines!

I think being a vegetarian makes LC much harder. I'm not interested. I was low fat/no meat for years and I'm not going back!

Pat- good luck with your FIL.

Carol!

I would imagine it would really narrow down your choices alright; trying to be low Carb and vegetarian into the bargain.
Just eggs, cheese and Greek yogurt is probably all you'd have to choose from.
Hope your evening went well Eno.

I've decided i do actually want to keep up the higher intensity exercise after-all;
i need it for stress relief and to improve my mood too.
Think i get way too up-tight about it all if i have an off day- it's probably hormones that cause all these problems in the first place.
I have a bad habit of blaming my self for something i'm doing/not doing.
Not worrying about my weight and instead focusing on healthy habits is my only way forward from now on.

Back from our travels, but life is going to continue to be hectic.
Did very well with breakfast and lunches while travelling, rm balance ran the gamut from poor to quite decent.
For future travels, need to be able to say rm balance is "good".

Tonight since we had a rm breakfast before going to grocery shop, will be a cm - salad, roasted yellow squash, a ny strip steak. I should have oil and vinegar dressing or make a vinaigrette. Having my 35 calories blue cheese yogurt dressing, and am rather unapologetic to myself about it.

Waiting to hear re FIL's surgery and that is causing high, very high, stress.

I will pray for your father-in-law & you all too Patricia.

That's fantastic your still managing to stay on plan while travelling so much.
Stress & travelling definitely makes things more challenging.

I'm going along fine. Trying new recipes all the time now from my new cook book and really enjoying the process!

I've also found new Youtube people who do Keto diets so i get new ideas for meals and i love to see how they go about things.
There is a girl called Rachael Aust who meal preps which i find v. inspiring.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vmXLFuUAPM&t=141s

& also Alvina Rayne. Her story is such a triumph as she has overcome so much.

hi-
hi Pearl- hope you find it and come back even if you are starting over.

DH went out tonight with friends from work, so I was on my own. Had a HUGE salad with blue cheese, hard boiled egg, can of tuna, peppers, radishes, carrots and spring mix. For my carb I had a slice of wheat toast with butter and jam. Water to drink.

We are going out tomorrow for dinner with friends- first a beer at a brewery then dinner next door at a bbq place.

Saturday night we are invited to a friend's house.

Sunday I'm grilling wild salmon and a grilled cesar salad. Another couple is bringing grilled veggies and an appetizer. The third couple is bringing wine and dessert. I think it will be fun.

Hope everyone is well-
have a great holiday weekend.

Your welcome back Pearl.

That's so lovely you socialise so much with your friends Eno;
The Italians are like this too; Here in Ireland; we don't really do it much unless its Christmas & New Year.

I bet your salad looked amazing & so colourful with all those ingredients.
Lately i had a day where i craved bell peppers above all things...
with french vinaigrette & Coriander/Cilantro. I had bell pepper salad morning and night but at least I've
finally broke my cravings for too much junk food; thanks to this plan.

My RM today was quite big; a delicious low carb green smoothie instead of a salad, -
Lemon sole fish, green beans, carrots, peas, L/f Butter,
Then i had; a skinny cappuccino,(7g carb) a light cracker (3g carb) w/l/f cheese and tomato, a small dark chocolate heart (?) & a frozen banana bite (5g Carb) made with dark chocolate too.
Feel like this will keep me going for hours somehow.

Hope everyone has a great weekend there too.
Rainy weather here but still getting out and about walking regardless.
