Default Hello Everyone!

I'm so happy to have found this forum! I'm no stranger to dieting! I have yo-yoed my whole life and have obsessed about my weight since I was 11...I'm now 57! Yikes! They say the older you get the harder it is to drop the weight and so far I tend to agree. I tried Atkins years ago and did lose weight but of course fell off the wagon. Ive been on every diet known to man and failed. I've been on the Induction portion for 4 days now and so far so good. I'm completely satisfied after every meal and look forward to the next one! 😂 I'm exercising and counting those carbs and looking forward to seeing if I can whip myself into shape!

Welcome, Robyn. The "secret" to success is simply keeping on keeping on. Be patient, adapt every choice to stuff you like (in other words, no whipping yourself), and hang around here a lot.

Best wishes.

Welcome Robyn,

So happy you have joined. You are off to a great start.

Just FYI, update your weight loss in your profile so you can see the progress you have made. Profile is under USER CP at the top left of most pages.

Good luck!

Kathy

Hello and Welcome Robyn!

Your history is very similar to mine, except that I spent decades yo-yoing with Atkins' Diet Revolution.

I never wanted to acknowledge that I was hyper sensitive to carbs and that I would have to give some of them up forever if I wanted to be successful. Finally accepted that fact in 2013 when I restarted for the zallionth and last time...

Wishing you much success on your journey to better HEALTH!

Welcome, Robyn! You've come to a supportive place; these forums are awesome. I especially find having a journal to be helpful for daily logging of thoughts, feelings, successes, struggles, etc. You can start your own, if you'd like, in the Journales/Bootcamp thread.

Have a great day, and welcome again

Welcome Robyn! Not a diet - a new way of eating for life! And I do mean life - meeting non-scale goals, feeling healthy, stopping the yo yo ing. Slow and steady, always focusing, or refocusing, or re re re re focusing (hey, we're all only human). But we can all do this - best of luck!
