Default Why can't I paste?

I found a particularly infuriating article online and I wanted to discuss it here. But I can't paste. Not the text, not the URL, nothing. No past options at all. Surely it's possible becasue I see others post links to articles.
Any advice?

Occasionally you'll find a site that disables copying of their text, like snopes.com, or the text could be embedded in an image, but at the very least you should be able to copy the URL. Maybe your browser's context menu is goofing up? Try selecting all the text you want to copy (or the URL), then hit CTRL+C to copy, CTRL+V to paste.

Are you sure they haven't disabled copying of text at the web site? Places do that under the belief, mistaken, that it will keep people from copying and pasting. It is easy to get around.

You might be able to find something, like "Selectable" for Chrome, for your browser.
