Well a huge thank you to everyone who was so supportive of me with my first posting. I was getting frustrated enough to give up and have a big giant honey bun or an entire loaf of bread. Well I held off, "One more week" I told myself. It seems to be paying off, finally. This morning, I was 4 pounds lighter than last night, tonight I found the same thing so I am really really excited now.

Maybe it's a good omen... I live in OKC and my husband is an OU student and we are playing at the Orange Bowl tonight and I'm feelin lucky!!!

Of course to help out my luck, I ditched diet soda, Atkins bars fake sugar as well as upping my water consumption. Can anyone tell me why an ATKINS thing would create stalls? I saw his name was assumed I was totally safe.

Thanks again,
Michaele

Default So proud of YOU!

Way to go!! I am VERY proud of your success, and your determination will take you there.

Success is WONDERFUL...I'm down another 4 pounds....and feel sooooooo S**Y (just in case they won't let us post this).

Keep going....and drink your water.....take it with you, leave a bottle in you car, etc.

Re: Atkins Bars - some people find that the artificial sugar glycerol and their polymers cause bloating & water retention - just because of digestive disorders (and once in a while you can have a piece....just to feel you are having a treat).

Keep it up - YOU are a WINNER!!

Love

Hi Michaele,

Way to go!

On Atkins bars etc., it may be because even the good doctor knows that he can sell sugar substitutes to sugar junkies?

For some on this WOE, it's best to stick with real food and save the other stuff for a very occasional treat.

Keep the faith,

Karen
