Ok, guys. Since we are all in TN, anyone have clues as to low-carb friendly restaurants? I have become a fan of TGI Fridays, since they do have a mini-menu for low carbers. Any others I need to check out?

Some restaurants don't specifically have a "low carb" menu; however, they have vegetables and meats you can eat. Choose grilled chicken, red meat, seafood, broccoli, salad, other low carb veggies, cheese, etc. For instance, when I go to Longhorn, I order grilled chicken with mushrooms and asparagus. Or if I go to O'Charley's, I'll have a salad or some sort of meat... maybe buffalo wings! Ruby Tuesday's has a low carb menu (or rather, they list the nutritional contents of all their food). If I go to RT's, I'll order the soup and salad combo and have the broccoli and chedder soup with a salad. Really good stuff!!

I don't know how low you're trying to keep your carbs so your options might be limited to basically meat and veggies.

Check out Kroger's natural/organic section for lots of low carb food as well as Wild Oats near Target in Franklin (or in Green Hills if you prefer).

There are low carb and sugar free stores all over the Nashville area. There are two just down the road from me in Antioch and one just down the road from me by my place of employment. You just have to know where to look!!!

Is anyone else in the N.E. part of TN? I am near Johnson City and Morristown. It would be great to find folks to meet with.

Empire99 - Have you checked out th Green Hills Grille? They have a WONDERFUL low carb menu. They are located in the Green Hills part of Nashville, the also have locations in Brentwood, Knoxville and Huntsville, AL. I highly recommend! I've also heard rumors that Ruby Tuesday's have a LC menu. Personally my favorite place is Longhorn Steakhouse (Downtown Nashville)- I order the Bleu Cheese Crusted Fillet w/ a big huge Romaine lettuce salad (bacon, cheese and ranch only)....Yumm! If you want I have a challenge going on in the Challege thread, it is called Challenge for newbies and beginners come on in and join, it is an easy challenge and there are about 12 of us. We are all really supportive, we answer questions and help you. Everyone in there is really friendly and willing to support each other and others.
Come on in and join I think it will do you good.
If you don't like that one there are alot up there. Look them over.
Also start a journal and invite people to read it that is a way alot of us communicate on a more personal level.
