I've been with this forum for about a month and a LC since Feb, 2003. I haven't seen anyone from my neck of the woods. If you are from Washington DC and would like to communicate, please post. I've found a couple of places to buy LC products in Dupont Circle and a really great health food store owned by LCers with all the supplements and lots of real advice.

I do not live in DC but do travel there for biz regularly (from Los Angeles). I stay at Dupont Circle. Could you please tell me where you find the low carb products in the area?

I live in Dupont Circle. There are a few places that carry low carb products. On 17th Street, NW between P Street and R Street there are two stores I go to. One is Samson's health foods and vitamins. This place is wonderful, and the owners are LCers as well. I get a lot of my products there and almost all of my supplements. Also, there's a Safeway food store that sells some LC products--some Atkins Bars and shakes, some cookies and candy. And in a pinch, I go to the CVS on 17th and P. They always have tuna in the pouch, macadamias and pork rinds. They also have a few low carb or protein bars.

I live in Maryland, but work in D.C. during the day, 12th & G Streets, NW. I am starting the Atkins Induction today. Maybe we can meet and do a lunch (high protein that is) and talk Atkins. I will check back and see if you are interested.

I would love to get together for lunch. Unfortunately, it's going to have to wait til after Thanksgiving because I'm up to my neck in trying to get ready for my family's visit for that weekend.

I'm so glad to have someone from this area. There is a great health food store on 17th street between Church and Q called Samson's. They have all kinds of lc products and in the dairy case they have the best lc bagels. The people there are lcers too and very knowledgeable.

I haven't been there, but there is a health food store near Potomac Mills Mall that has many items at reasonable prices.

Thanks...if you can could you find out the name of the store (near Potomac mills)? I'm really just trying to find a place were i can get get some low carb sweets like cheesecake, cookies, or brownies or something since i can't seem to bake them myself

Almost forgot:

I saw your posts about looking for LC treats. I've been using a retail chain called the Vitamin Shoppe. They have the Atkins products (vitamins, sweets, mixes, etc) and they are usually 25% off retail. Also, they seem to have shops located around the metro area - so one may be close to you. Check their website to locate one.
