Am I correct: You are weight lifting and yet you only weigh 143 pounds at a height of 6 feet? You may not be eating enough Calories, something that can easily happen with people who try to keep fat intake low. I suggest you increase your Calories by adding in some healthy fats in an attempt to pack on some muscle weight. You might be surprised at how this can make your gut fat vanish as your metabolic rate and your Calorie burn during activity goes up.
If you aren't doing much cardio, you might like Tae Bo but be careful about which Tae Bo programs you get. Many of the Tae Bo DVDs/Videos include a mix of cardio and strength work and the strength work is not very intense. If you have Half Price Books available where you live, you can often find some of the old Tae Bo videos that are great for cardio. I like Tae Bo Advanced, Tae Bo Advanced Live (this is not Volume 1), Tae Bo Advanced Live Volume 2, and Tae Bo Get Ripped Advanced 1 and 2. So far I don't like all the latest and greatest that use bands.
Another good kickboxing video that guys like is Power Kicks by Aaron Lankford. It isn't available new any longer but you can sometimes find it used on the Internet.
Also, have you tried running?
If you are into DVDs/videos and since I believe you need to add some muscle weight, I am going to suggest that you go to beachbody.com and look at the P90X program. That program will put you on a higher carb percentage than you've been doing so you might want to NOT do that part of the P90X (unless of course you try it and it works for you). The whole program can be obtained for about $100 (don't pay more than this; they have special deals all the time) and you would need weights and a pull up bar at home so if you can't get this now, keep the program and needed equipment in mind for when your folks ask you what you want for Christmas. Men who refuse to ever do any TV directed exercise program get completely hooked on P90X. Their girlfriends and wives who post at videofitness.com are thrilled!!!!!!!!!!
