Hi. Forgive me if this "Introductions" forum is not the place to make the following request. I am a longtime Type 1 Diabetic in New York City and want to try Dr. Bernstein's diabetic diet. I am very reluctant to tinker with my regimen without consulting a physician or someone with a lot of experience with insulin-dependent diabetics. But I cannot for the life of me find such a doctor! Dr. Bernstein himself charges a fortune and his assistant said they do not give referrals because they can't find doctors willing to spend the time required to help patients. Perhaps that's true but his books also say people in my situation should consult a medical pro...So, does anyone have any recommendations for the New York area? THANKS!

I got this off of Jimmy Moore's site. Scroll down and there are a few in your area. Don't know if any of them are the specialty/type you're looking for, but maybe one can point you in the right direction if not. Hope this helps.
