Default I'm officially joining the turtle club

I had hoped it would not come to this but I have accepted it.
After loosing weight fairly easily, I am now officially a turtle. Nothing has budged in I don't know how long. I haven't even been on a scale in over a week. (That is very odd for me, I used to be obsessed W/ the scale) I figure why get myself all depressed if I know there is no weight loss. I do measure my waist just to make sure I'm not going the opposite direction.
It does get depressing as time goes on but really, what else am I going to do? I can't imagine going back to eating the way I did. And I certainly wont go low fat. YUCK! I guess I'll just wait here with the rest of the turtles.

Heather, congratulations for having done so very well! You should applaud yourself for what you have accomplished with both your weight loss and behavioral changes.

I'm sure you know all this, but i'll say it again. The last ten pounds often come off very slowly--six months to a year is not uncommon. But what does it matter, really, when you know you'll be living a low-carb life forever? Do make sure you haven't let uncounted carbs slip back in, and think about your calorie intake. (Yesterday, for instance, I ate 1/2 a cup of cream and some cream cheese--no way we can do that every day and still lose weight!) And exercise helps--weightlifting and long, slow aerobic activities seem to be best for weight loss. If you're already doing all that well, then yes, you're a true turtle.

Because I lose slowly, I am only weighing once a month, so I applaud your once a week strategy. Move it to monthly if you need to in order to stay optimistic.
