as of today, i'm no longer considered overweight by BMI standards. i'm excited! i want to yell this news at strangers in the streets! only 5.5 pounds to go!

Congratulations!!

Getting to a normal BMI was my one non-negotiable goal for an annual doctor check-up. 169 for me and it was that exact number on his scale that day. I was giddy with delight for weeks; as long as it is in the doctor's file, it somehow made it a real accomplishment in my mind.

You have lost 35% of your start weight in about one year. That is an amazing accomplishment, celebrate!
