Last year's deep fried butter was heaven for the first bite
But then the others just tasted like grease...

Seriously, I'm just starting back at LC, but if that sandwich was in bmore, I think I would have to indulge. Just for the sake of it. Glad I don't have the problem. It looks really good. Salt/Sweet what I lovely combo! Just sayin'.

Enjoy the moment and please let us know the outcome.

oh come on! if it is REALLY a once in a blue moon "treat" go enjoy it. you are not obese because of ONE DAY.
With that said, you better get your butt right back on track the next day- i would go as low carb as possible and high fat to get back in ketosis.

have fun

A co worker and I made our own after seeing this. Got the Carl's Jr 6 dollar burger, double cheese burger (no bacon), got a couple of Krispy Creme Crullers and used those for buns.

It is good, but it isn't worth more than 1 time event.

I would cut it in half and share with some one. And even then, the last bite doesn't taste great any more. So 1/2 will be all you need.

And my blood sugar went up to 165.

I think when weird "food" like this comes around it's normal to want to try it, but I like bonechew's idea of sharing it with someone...or a lot of someones! Since it's at a fair it's not as if you can get it everyday. Wanting to try something new and weird is part of normal eating, IMHO.

I have a cheat meal once a week. I think it trains you to be able to go back to low carb.

I did a low carb diet about 10 years ago, and when I went on vacation and cheated, I came back and stopped doing the diet. This time, because I cheat sometimes, I have the willpower to get right back in the saddle, and I think I see it more as a lifestyle change this time, not a diet.

I do limit my cheating to 1 meal a week, or occasionally 2 if there is a wedding and major holiday in the same week.

I've lost around 70 lbs in 7 months doing it this way, and Timothy Ferris actually recommends it in the 4 hour body.

I have never eaten a krispy kreme doughnut. They just look awful. Now a burger krispy creme? WTH!

Why not just have a Lick's burger?

I see the logic of this. And because it is planned, there is no huge guilt/disappointment/failure self dialogue over it. When you do mess up some where down the road (and it will happen), it isn’t a huge thing, it is a slight slip and you pick yourself up and keep on going.

And having an off-plan treat once in a while is so much easier to live long term with than “Thou shalt never taste that again!” Just thinking the biblical finger wagging on a food makes me want it more!

I see every diet plan has this same theory attached to it. WW has the extra 35 points per week for a splurge or slip up.

OMG!!!! How did you get to be 180 lbs and not have a Krispy Creme???

Kidding.... I bet 8 lbs of my tonage is due to the Krispy. You can eat a dozon easily. They are so light and airy.... And right down the road from my office.....

Why is it I always work across the street from a Krispy Creme and next door to a Home Depot? I'm lucky to get home with any of my paycheck left....

Red,

That was funny and I'm sure she was being lighthearted. Hence, why she said just kiddn'. Lighten up!

Honestly if you haven't tasted a Krispy Kreme that would seem a little odd by most folks. Just sayn'

These things happen. Unfortunately.

I watched another thread where a woman posted on how emotions were running rampant and if this was diet related. Comments were made that were really off the mark – like go get help and remove all sharp objects from your house kind of thing.

I loved her response. She said I’m taking all the comments in the vein they were given – meaning she knew that others were just trying to help or make her laugh. She didn’t launch, get nasty, etc. No one intentionally tried to hurt her feelings. Her responses were what I aspire to do. Handled it with Grace.

I'm going to keep this in mind the next time I get my panties in a bunch over a comment I think is inappropriate.
