Default Food Porn in Dream Land

I think we've all had it at some point or another, high carb food dreams I remember when I first began low carbing 5 years ago I had a lot of food dreams. Oreo cookies were literly floating through the air

Well, I've been doing realy good and hid 3 weeks LC last Thursday and did have a few light weight food porn dreams the frist week. I was surprised to remember that I had food dreams last night. In my dreams I wolfed down a cheese buger (with bun) and a big plate of fries then went on to eat those monster cookies you get at the gas station, 4 of them! i DO REMEMBER THINKING IN MY DREAM THAT THIS IS WRONG AND i SHOULD NOT BE EATING THIS STUFF BUT i WAS SHOVELING IT IN ANY WAY. BF and I were "talking" this morning and suddenly that dream popped in my head (put a halt to all "talking") and I told him about it. It was so real and I asked him if I had gotten up in the middle of the night and eaten. He assured me that I was flopped on top of him all night and never left the room

So, after I we got to moving I was wondering if this is a sign that my body is trying to fight the whole withdrawl thing. Maybe a last ditch effort to get me to saccom to the cravings? We talked about it and wondered if I should be extra careful today and on my toes considering that weird dream. Food porn

He normally keeps a bag of chips and a few choc bars in the fridge for him to take to work. Since its been muddy he hasn't been able to work for 2 weeks (logger) so they have been sitting there all this time without me getting into them YAY but this morning with those dreams lingering on both our minds we packed up the chips and choc bars and he took them to the farm.

I am also PMSing, today is day 28 but this month I am due to come late, this month it won't show up till day 32. Weird I know but I'm just that way LOL Was wondering if the dreams could have been brought on by PMS or just my withdrawls and the addiction trying to keep ahold.

I have been eating very strict LC this whole 3 weeks. Im talking the worst fake food I get is gum every few days. No diet sodas and everything is home made and farm raised by us. So nothing extra is slipping in this lady!

Thoughts on the food dreams?

I used to get them when I was Dieting by Starving. What's that song, "dreams are a wish your heart makes?"

This must be "dreams are a wish your stomach makes!"

LOL Starving? Thats been so long ago and I have not been starving LOL

I had egg drop soup for breakfast and lunch was tuna salad with celery and supper was fried shrimp Nope, no starving lady here!

I would like to add that I've been holding weight for 5 days 197.2 exactly for 5 days! I presumed this weight hold is from PMS, this morning my weight was 197. not scertain if theres a corralation here or not.

Oh, I get TONS of dreams where I'm mindlessly eating something I shouldn't be - and then when I wake up I feel panicky for a few minutes trying to remember if I actually did!

Yeah, mine was a weird dream that I told Jimmy Fallon that I couldn't eat that ice cream cone cuz I was lactose intolerant. (even tho I'm not). IDK if the dream was about the ice cream or about him.

My journal entry 2 nights ago:

Quote:
On a different note, I had a funny/weird dream, where I over indulged in carbs! Hilarious!

The good thing, I woke up with the guilty feelings I get after a binge, and that helped keep me on track, because I REALLY don't want to be fat AND guilty..

I don't think I've had any weird food dreams since but the last one I had was scary enough! It felt so real after I woke up.

Whenever I eat dinner comprised of red meat, I seem to have vivid dreams that I'm able to remember the next morning. Always wonder what it is about red meat that does that to me.

My dreams are usually of every kind of porn though!!! Not just food porn!!

Did you eat red meat the night before your food porn?!

I have had food porn dreams... They happen a couple of times a month. And it is usually in that 2 weeks before the period starts.

Personally, I am okay with having food porn dreams.

The way I look at it, is there are certain foods, that really bring me pleasure chemically. And I can no longer experience that food orgasm as I call it.

So I dream about it at night, and my mind recreates it in my dream, so it can get a little bit of the endorphin high it is needing.

I don't think it is any different than going with out sex. And then dreaming about sex cause it has been too long.

Our body hormonally has basic needs, and if it can't create it in the real world, the mind will attempt to regulate it in the dream world. That is the way I look at it.

I Personally, have been working on creating that feeling I get with certain foods in my life. But I will say nothing has come close yet. But I feel because I am looking at life differently and finding joy in the small things. I don't have the dreams near as much. And in some of my dreams I am actually starting to say no thank you and refuse the food. Which for me is a good sign that I am on the right track.

I haven't had food porn dreams since that night but I do have real porn dreams when I am ovulating. If I have sex that day I don't get them but if I don't have sex "when its needed" its a long rough night.
