Default September Challenge! Set your own Goals.

Hello, everyone! I've decided to start up a weight loss challenge for the month of September. You can set your own goals and at the end of the month, we'll see who completes their goals. Together we will help each other, offer daily support to those who are struggling, and push each other to challenge themselves to do a good job!

Weigh-Ins will be once a week, starting September 1st (Wednesday, I believe). Feel free to post any goals you would like to accomplish for the month. We can do this! Wahoo!

My Goals:
-Reach 145 by the end of the month.
-Go to the gym five days a week while at college.
-Drink more water (hard for me, argh)
-Try to steadily increase my exercise.
-No cheating. Cheating means spending weeks making up for it. It's not worth spoiling my taste buds. LOL.

I'll see you on September 1st with my official weigh in. I hope to see lots of people join this challenge! We can do it.

I'll join!!!! I'm also in the "thinness" challenge.. but I have got to meet my "onederland" goal by Sept 29th.. so... I need to lose 7 lbs by then... if it's only us.. thats okay... we will help each other!!!

Count me in!!! I gained 2 pounds since yesterday so am back up to 212.5 ;-( but my goal for September is to get down to 200. My birthday is coming up on the 16th and we always go to Taos NM for a mini-vacation so I don't want to look 7 months pregnant in my pictures like I did in my pictures from July....yuk! Nothing against pregnancy, but don't like looking like I am when I'm not!!

Hi Kathy and Kursten! Glad to see others here, and interested! I start going to the gym tomarrow. What a great way to start off the month of September.

I'm not sure what weight I want to aim for yet by the end of the month, because I am going to be using a doctors scale (at the gym) starting Wednesday, and I have a feeling it is going to weigh me as more then the scale I am using now.

Good luck to both of you. We can do this. Make sure and stop by for daily support.

I'm in!! The more challenges the better. I can use all the support I can get. (I'm at that critical point where I usually go off what ever eating plan I'm on.)

my goals:

1. exercise at least 3x's per week
2. Lose at least 8 pounds or one pants size
3. Keep my water intake up at 1 gallon or more

Welcome to the challenge Badger, Philly, and AH! Glad to have you here.

I went for a short walk and bike ride today, just enough to get my metabolism a jump. I need to go to bed, because I have to get up at 5:00am tomarrow and head to the gym.

It's my first day of classes (I'm in college!), so wish me luck.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful LC evening!

Hey All!
I would like to join in on the Challenge, too.
These past 2 weeks the weight kept creeping up and I am not even able to fit into any of my jeans. I have to lose now since I am not going to buy bigger clothes

My goals for this month:
  • be at 175 lbs (lose 10 lbs)
  • be able to fit into my clothes again
  • work out (free weights 3x per week, cardio 2x per week)
  • drink my water
  • if possible no alcohol

Ok, after giving it some thought I have decided my goals for this month. I think they are fairly typical.

AH's Goals for Sept.
**Drink more water.
**Get active 3-5 times a week.
**Weigh UNDER 190.
---I haven't seen that since my wedding.. always stuck in the mid 190's.
***Eat more often instead of 1 half a meal a day.
***Drink less Diet Coke (is this possible???)

Thanks AH. I am on my way there right now. To the gym first! Yay. I have the two worst classes today, so I hope my first day isn't a total disaster.

Count me in too, this is my first challenge so I'll see how it goes.

I've actually been off Atkins since friday, I had a slight case of food poisoning (either from eggs or chicken) so the thought of eggs or chicken or anything fried was a complete no-no. All I could feel I could eat was toasted bread, so that is what I did and loads of peppermint tea. Once the stomache got a bit better, I also included icecream and other "forbidden foods" yum:
So I decided I would stay off Atkins for a week and eat healthily until then, and so far I have not gained an ounce, so that is quite good.

My goals:
- Start induction again on the 04. September
- Loose 10 pounds by the end of the month
- try not to eat any nuts for the first two weeks
- Drink more water
- Keep up Kung Fu twice a week
- Go to the gym in the mornings (tuesday, wednesday) while I still have the car (only this week)
- find a nice affordable replacement car
- go for a walk in the evenings (at least 30 mins) and maybe throw in a bit of yoga in case it is raining


ok, I think that is me done

Hi Gagalina! Welcome to the challenge.

I went to the gym for the first time in months and did 50 minutes on the treadmill, and started a bit of weigh training as well. I plan to go to the gym five times a week!

I might get out and go for a walk, or ride my bike, or do pilates. I'm in such a modivated mood right now. How are you all doing? Are you ready for the 1st???

I'm re-setting my goals, by the way:

My Goals:

-Reach 150 by the end of the month. (158 starting weight!)
-Go to the gym five days a week while at college. Mon-Fri.
-Drink more water (hard for me, argh)
- Walk/Jog 15 miles a week at least.
- Increase my weight training.
-No cheating. Cheating means spending weeks making up for it. It's not worth spoiling my taste buds. LOL.
- Do pilates three times a week.

That's basically it in a nutshell. I walked a total of 4.5 miles today and might do some pilates later if I'm not too tired.

I'll talk to you all later!
