Default "Basmati Rice For Managing Diabetes And Obesity"

...so I'm at the grocery store yesterday, and this caught my eye. I sh*t you not, that is literally in bold type larger than the brand name of the product.

Here's the website. Interesting how they compare it to other foods, but not to regular basmati rice.

I guess they've selectively bred a particular strain of the rice, and process it differently. You'll probably get diabetes 5% more slowly compared to eating regular basmati rice, or something like that. I was disappointed; I was hoping they found a way of making dried shirataki rice or something like that. So it's obviously not an actual LC food, but perhaps a good choice for your non-LCing family members, your non-compliant diabetic loved ones, etc.

I'd actually be willing to guinea pig this with a bag of this rice vs regular basmati. I do occasionally eat rice and we have a glucometer now. Hmm.
