Default asparagus on the foreman grill

Just a quick note - we cooked asparagus on our george foreman grill for Easter, and it was absolutely delicious! And very easy.

I bought thick asparagus stalks, which are often tough and stringy, but they were completely tender when I was done.

I just placed the stalks on the grill vertically and grilled them for 7-8 minutes at 350 degrees. Then I drizzled them with a little olive oil and dried basil, but any herb (or no herb) would be fine.

That sounds good--and easy. Thanks for sharing it. I love asparagus if it's cooked correctly--there's nothing worse than that mushy canned stuff though.

I have some frozen asparagus in my freezer--may try this tonight.

Does asparagus freeze well? I haven't seen any in the freezer section at the grocer. How do you prepare and freeze it?

You can steam it and freeze it or grill and freeze...but I eat it too fast for freezing!
