Default Sweetcorn In a Salad? Phase 2.

Im on phase 2 atm still loosing, Just wondering about more food options atm.

Is it ok to have like a tablespoon of corn in a chicken salad on phase 2?

This is the product i'd be using:

Naturally Sweet Corn

It has 10.5 carbs in half the tin
and 2.7 fiber in half the tin

Id use maybe one tenth of the can once a day on a salad (tablespoon aproximation), thats about 1.8 net carbs a day In a bit of corn in a salad.

Is there any harm in that?

-Marc

Strictly speaking, as sweetcorn is a grain it would become a phase 2/OWL option once you reach the OWL rung (#9 in DANDR, not sure about NANY's rules) where grains are allowed.

Depending on your personal critical carb level for losing and how your body reacts to adding grains back in, it might be fine for you to add corn at this stage of your Atkins journey, but do make sure you only add it on its own, so if you get any adverse reactions you will know it was because of that, not other new foods.
