I tried this. I used 5 qts of water, 6 packages of TrueLemon(tm), 1 tsp rosemary, some sea salt and cracked black pepper, mixed it up in the crockpot. Then I added the equiv of 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts, fresh lemon slices on it, a coursely chopped onion sprinkled over it, 2 more teaspoons of rosemary, some more sea salt and cracked black pepper, and turned it on high for about 5.5 hours.
It came out good. It was more like just another way to crockpot chicken, for me, than something like a whole meal-in-pot. The chicken tasted fine, kinda neat with the lemon tang.
We put thin sliced dill havarti cheese on top, some super finely sliced fresh hot peppers, nuked it briefly to melt the cheese, and added a couple spoons of sour cream. It wasn't gourmet but it was yummily edible, me and the 11 year old scarfed half of it down and put the rest in the fridge.
