Default Gym Newbie

Just saying hi!
I have gone to a gym before, but have always pooped out. I work an odd shift and have nobody to workout with. When I start rationalizing my way into a sedentary coma, it would be nice to have someone to kick my butt for me. I am trying to keep myself motivated and look at going to workout the same as taking a shower everyday...why would you want to skip that?

I procrastinate before going, but afterwards my head is in a totally different space and I wonder why I procrastinated cause I feel so endorphinized!

Here's my work out schedule:
Mon/Wed/Fri: 45 minutes weight training, 20 minutes cardio at the gym
Tue/Thur: walk 1 hour
Sunday: 40 minutes cardio at the gym

This has been the day after my first workout and my arms are sore! I will do more stretching tomorrow!

Thanks for letting me ramble!

Steve

Good for you for getting yourself into an exercise routine! I work 7am-7pm 2-3 days/wk, and I get up at 4am on workdays so I can hit the gym, so I know where you're coming from. I always feel better, more energized for the day when I get in my workout. Good luck to you!

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the support guys! It's the second workout and I ate like a ravenous pig after my workout, which I do on purpose...that's what "they" say to do anyway. Isn't it amazing how good food tastes after a workout?

Actually, I work out just so the food tastes better!
