Default I have no idea what to call this :)

Don't know what to call this, but I just whipped it up in my kitchen for dinner and it was great!

2 Pork Steaks cut into strips, deboned
3 eggs
1 bag lime flavored pork rinds
sesame oil
low sodium soy sauce
ground ginger

Scramble eggs and turn pork rinds into powder with a coffee grinder. Dip pork strips into egg and then cover with pork rind powder. Coat the bottom of a frying pan with a good amount of sesame oil. Toss the breaded pieces into the pan and fry thoroughly. After cooking, dry out pork pieces on a paper towel to make them crispy. Once all pieces are cooked and dried, put them in a large serving bowl, top with a few shakes of soy sauce and a good coating of ground ginger. Toss and serve.

Hi
This sounds like a great asian style recipe. What brand of lime pork rinds did you use? I have never seen that flavor here in Michigan.

It's like pork chops... but instead, it's a steak.

Confusing, right? It tastes exactly like pork chops, but its cut a little differently.

Oh and btw... about the pork rinds.

Didn't find them when I went back to the store because they were resetting the chips aisle... everything was all over the place. But I'll look again next time I go.

I don't see why you couldn't use plain, or hot & spicy if you got daring. I think both would work quite well.

I did not think of using pork rinds as a batter. But, I have not looked into recipes much. Great idea though I miss that crunchy texture sometimes.

Hi LadyArya,
I tried to find the pork rinds on the internet and everywhere I checked they were sold out. I am going to try using plain pork rinds and grate some lime rind to see if I could duplicate the taste. I don't know why I didnt think of this sooner.

Ok update on the lime pork rinds.

When I went to the store today I finally remembered to look for them again.

These are what I used. Bought them at walmart.

did this but instead used almond meal rather then pork rinds and added garlic salt and pepper to the almonds. Reminded me of almond chicken.
