Default JudyPatooty's Workout Log

I'm starting this log in hopes that it will inspire me to start stepping onto my treadmill a bit more frequently. Over the past year, I've slacked off a lot on my cardio workouts (and the scale showed it).

I did, however, keep up my twice-weekly appointments with a personal trainer. I know I can rely on Jeff to kick my butt on Monday and Wednesday mornings. It's the in-between times that need some more effort.

So, here I am.

And here I am again this morning.

I did my usual Wednesday Pilates with Jeff this morning. (HRM = 227 calories)

Well. Hmmmm. Yesterday I had thoughts of getting up early and walking on the treadmill this morning, but I got too wrapped up in "Wheat Belly" last night and didn't turn the light off until 9:00.

I value my sleep too much to get less than 8 hours, so I set the alarm for 5:30 instead of 4:45. That extra 45 minutes makes all the difference in the world for me.

Someday. Someday, I'll be retired from work and be able to sleep a full 8 hours AND still workout in the morning AND have time to shower and dress and eat breakfast. But now ... now, if I'm not in the shower by 6:15, I can't get to work by 8:00. Not if I want to eat breakfast and pack my lunch, too.

Sometimes I wish I weren't such an early bird and could find the energy to exercise after work. But that just doesn't seem possible for me. Oh well. You gotta deal with what is.
