Question Boxing???

Hey there everyone!

I am a newbie and in the research phase of things. I have to admitt that I have a nasty habit of not sticking to my exercise so I have been thinking about things that seem fun that I would like. Utimately I think that for me its going to be changing it up a lot. I might walk for 6 weeks and then go to the gym and swim for 6 weeks. Right now though....I am searching for something on the cheap side that I can do at home that is not walking.

I have always been interested in boxing and thought it was mad fun. I did a kickboxing class years ago and thought that I would die about 30 min into it. I want to buy a bag and take out my aggression as lately the stress level is pretty high. So I am posting for suggestions on two things:

Keep in mind I am very out of shape and need something that is considered beginner for now so that I can build my stamina

1. a Kick boxing video would be great. I hear Billy is on top of his game but I also hear that its hard as hell and well not sure he is my level YET

2. A actual boxing for exercise or boxing instructional video. I am going to go pick out a bag this weekend....it feel exciting as I have wanted to try my hand in this for sometime

Let me know any suggestions! THANKS

As a huge fan of the sport of mixed martial arts, I love doing boxing and muay thai (kickboxing) for my work outs. Bas Rutten (a former MMArtist) has developed an MMA workout system that I have been using the past month and has helped me lose over 30 pounds. It comes with 4 CD's that you can put on your ipod or w/e that focus on boxing, thai boxing, all around fighting, and all around workout. Each workout is 30 minutes and they have 2-minute rounds and 3-minute rounds for each one. It also comes with an instructional DVD to show you proper technique. If you want to lose weight and also have fun I'd definitely recommend it. You can do all the workouts with or without a boxing bag and you can start out at your own pace.

anyways, its kinda hard to get now and theres just one available on amazon but you might be able to find it on ebay or somewhere else

good luck with everything
