HELLO ~~~ It would be nice to see some new and dedicated people join us here. We have weekly games, post daily and weigh in daily. Some of us have been together for years! We do prefer to follow the older ATKINS total carb plan, but I will consider opening up the next 2 weeks' game to include all lC plans and see what the response is like. If that works, then so be it.
We are a motivated group that interacts with each other in a supportive and eduational manner. We learn from each other.

ho ho ho and happy Chanukkah too Wishing my low carb friends a very happy and healthy New Year. May all your dreams and wishes come true and happiness and peace find their way to your home and hearts.
I did reach 130 last week and the size 6 petite is too big in the waist and butt... actually slid down! LOL )
My thighs are too large to wear the size 4 so looks like I will be using the sewing machine a lot. As some of you know, this has been a long journey for me going back many years on this very site. I have made some wonderful friends here and have had some amazing support. This is very much a social setting for many and for many others a hard core diet only setting. For me, it has been the best of both worlds. We only have to look to find what it is we think we are in need of and to share of ourselves to those lives we do touch . Thank you all for always being here for me. Hugs and smooches~~Cricket

haha.....my title sounds like a play!

hey girls
another busy day (of errands this time), and then later scott hogging up the computer all day while my laptop was with my son over his fiance's house

we managed to drive out to target as planned (not exactly around the corner) and i got a new scale. i did not get on it (flat out refuse to weigh myself any other time of day but in the morning), so tomorrow will tell the tale

i was not totally on plan these last couple of days.....not gonna lie......didn't go crazy but ate some things that were not wise choices. i can feel it too......i feel yucky.....i knew i would & did it anyway. humans are stupid creatures
onward and downward........no plans for any social situations for quite a few months, and i am so glad

i'm sad that we may lose tam & barb

SICK AND TIRED OF THIS FREAKIN SITE DROPPING POSTS!
CHRISSIE.. hi! glad to see you. Happy you have a scale and will be returning to posting etc. You might be pushing Mable in the morning.. and maybe not. Scales all differ so hopefully this one will weigh as the old one did.

AM sorry about TAM AND BARB TOO. Hope they are back to posting in the morning. We have made extensions and LOA for vacations, trips, family stuff and just MIA.That really is going to stop. TAM has been away and I know she will continue to lose weight.She has a great strong will and lots of support.
BARB worries me. She I fear is at a pivital point and needs to be here. I hope she is back.She said she would be here this weekend. No one likes being in this position. THIS is a TEAM effort of support and we need to follow the original rules of posting and weiging daily. Of couse we will have exceptions always. We need to provide a time frame and prior notice unless an emergency does not allow that to be possible. We are human not heartless.

Happy Monday Ladies! New game & a new year coming up! Whoo hoo!

Chrissie i'm glad you got some errands done and got the new scale. No matter what it says today at least you'll be down tomorrow since you're back on plan.

Paulette i'm so relieved Ed is ok. Too bad you're heading upward right now but hopefully you're just climbing the stairs of the slide and will whoosh soon.

Cricket it was so great to talk to you on Christmas. Yea apparently our weather has made national news. They have closed down Interstate 40 going eastbound here so you can imagine the traffic headache and challenges to stranded motorists. Congratulations on winning game 33! Yippee!

Himi yeah! Thankfully you at least had a loss the last game...and during Christmas...good job!

Tam and Barb I really hope you ladies rejoin us today!

I am down .6 today. My 13 carbs were kind to me.

CRICKET - I am a huge carb-o-phobe. If I see anything over 10 I get very nervous. But, like you said, a few extra do not effect my ketosis. It seems to be firmly embedded, so I should learn not to freak out if I decide to have a salad or a veggie occasionally. I feel nervous when I eat a vegetable, though! I have been ultra low carb for so long! Carbs add up so fast - 1 cup of cooked broccoli is 11.2 carbs!!!! That is a LOT in my eyes. A regular day with no vegetables is always 5-7 carbs alone - so adding 11 more is freakishly high for me! I am so twisted on this carb thing. Why does it freak me out so much? I have to learn to get over my carb-o-phobia. OH - congrats on winning the game!!!!!

HIMI - Congrats on a losing week!

CHRISSIE - May that new scale be kind to you this morning! And I really hope the indulgences you partook in have not effected you.

KATHY - Good luck in the snow! We are lucky today - the snow won't start until after 2 pm, so my drive to the doctor will be dry and clear.

BARB & TAM - I really hope to see you guys today.

I have 1/2 a leftover avocado I must use today. I decided to make Chili Cheese Chicken Breasts. I can put some guacamole on top of those. I will bake the chicken on top of a pablano pepper and then add the cheese for a bubbly crust. This will make enough for 2 meals. I must calculate my nutritionals from this yet so I can slap it into my food tracker. Sorry, Cricket! I know you will probably envy me.

I hope we all have a great Monday and a good start to this game!

despite all your much appreciated & welcomed wishes (the good fairies were on vacation in my neck of the woods), i am up an even 5 lbs this morning........whether it's all me, me AND the new scale, or all new scale (yeah right), i will put it to paper as correct & proper, and just carry on from here

PAULETTIE~~~ remember how you used to freak out with flux?? REMEMBER the PANIC at a gain or no loss??? HUH, HUH, HUH ???? Well, this is the next hump to get over my friend
Going to 20 carbs GETS folks INTO ketosis. I will bet that you can tolerate 30 and remain in ketosis as long as the fats are about 2x the protein %. YOU know this! SO, be brave and be safe to go up a little bit and do not panic. I would worry more about the cheese and saugages you had! Hope the driving is safe. HAPPY you had that loss!!

More tornado junk in poor north west Alabama. Rains are going to be here again.Already bad in those areas and counties.Hope we do not get too much.the ground is still thick and muddy and I like indoor plumbing!!!

Was surpised to see that 1.2 loss this morning. Have not been eating much at all but with me that does not matter!
Just had my morning dose of heartburn and HC.

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry about being off and on...had no idea I would be dealing with all my Aunt's legal stuff, on top of the holidays and cruise. I had said last Tuesday I would be unable to post at all because of the obligations to my Aunt, and the holiday traveling this past week. Since my time will not always be my own, and I have no idea what the future holds, I will officially drop out of the game. Everyone is more than welcome to stop by my journal and say hi.
Cricket, you are very right...I am strong. I can carry on and I will. I am already part of 4 different groups on this site, plus my own journal, so that is more than enough ways to keep me rock steady and accountable.
From now on I'll just be one of those "ghost" readers, because I have enjoyed getting to know all of you. Hope all of you had a great week! Here's to the next year, may it be blessed with wonderful whooshies, and continuous reaching of our goals to maintenance.
