Unhappy Heavy cream addict

I am a heavy cream addict. I would drink at least a quart of it during the week by having it every single day in my morning coffee, pouring it on berries, and making soup out of it. I just saw a picture of myself 18lbs ago. I looked great. I was in total denial about the weight gain. I am NOT buying heavy cream again until I lose the weight. It will NOT come into my home. I will start drinking my daily coffee black. My soups will be clear broth with some meat or veges in it ONLY. When/if I eat berries they will either be plain or with a sprinkle of splenda. I understand that on Atkins you are suppose to just count carbs but I also know that adding 1000 calories a day from just a "condiment" is not a wise decision either. I would rather get the extra calories from a rare steak with butter, or chicken breast with a salad.

Thanks for letting me vent. Sometimes putting things in writing brings them into perspective....

I too am a heavy cream addict. My family makes jokes about it but I really do think that I am addicted. If it is in the house, I will use it. I like you use it in my coffee, on berries or just whipped straight. I will say that I am only going to use two tablespoons a day and I just can't stick to it.

I have another confession also. I think I am becoming addicted to lindt dark chocolate also. I think I should keep both the cream and the chocolate out of the house. Luckily I have not gained any weight but my weight loss has stalled for almost three months.

I wonder if there is a 12 step program for us? Ha ha.

I am so glad that I am not alone. I have already decided to not buy the Lindt 85% chocolate. I would buy it and eat one square a day. I would think about it all day long until I could eat it, then think about the one I would get tomorrow. If something happened to "celebrate" I would just polish off the rest of the bar. So, now, I am not buying Lindt 85% chocolate or Heavy cream until further notice....I just bought groceries and looked away from the cream when I was picking up the milk for the rest of the family. I fell like I made it...I had lunch and took all my vitamins. One day down; lots and lots to go...if you find the 12 step program please, please let me know!!
