Smile Hey from North UK

Hi everyone, I'm Alex, 40 yrs young. Hope you're all well. I've just turned 40 and decided to hit Atkins hard.

Lots of waist bulge to get rid off, so hopefully I will make a success of it. 2 week point today, I should be easing off induction, but I've decided to stay with this for a while.

Looking forward to general diet banter in due course.. Alex

Hello, Alex. You've picked up on the key to success--as long as "a while" means the rest of your life. Atkins will teach you how to do maintenance if you take it seriously.

Welcome to a good conversation, and best wishes.

Welcome, Alex

Look around all the different forums here, especially the Newbie Advice sticky.
There was recently a thread on the Atkins forum about staying on induction.
http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=464516 some good advice in there.
I loved Barb's comment about LC being a lifetime way of eating. Please make a commitment to this for your health, not just a short term diet. All the best,

Will do. It's a great way of eating, just need to stick to the program this time. Weigh in number three is this Wednesday!

Thanks for the support!
