Welllll ....

Clippers will be your best friend.

When I first started shaving, I used clippers with a #1 blade guard on to clip everything really close (if I didn't shave, I'd be REALLY hairy) ...

Then I use a razor (Mach 3 Turbo) to finish off.

I use Nair for Men on my bum and back.

Currently, I shave my chest and torso bare. I clip with #1 guard on for my arms, armpits, legs, and anywhere else that might need it.

Just remember to use caution in any delicate areas you might be shaving. Clippers can bite.

I know that for my upcoming contest, I will need to shave my arms and legs bare. Not looking forward to it.

Bet it doesn't hurt as bad as the ice spray you can use when getting nipples pierced!

I'm sure that would hurt more! Not to mention the piercing itself!

Hehehhehehe.... that's the thing, the sorest part of it is the freeze spray.

Although I could tell you about piercings that are a lot more scary but thankfully less sore!

I did have my chest and torso waxed before ... I used to date a chick who owned a salon ... She knew I shaved and offered to wax me ...

The pain wasn't so bad until she got to my stomach. Then it was kinda painful ... But it made me break out so bad!!

We tried it one more time ( a month later) and used the hypoallergenic stuff. Still, broke out BAD.

So ... I am a razor guy now.

Thinking of getting the laser removal for my back since that is always a hassle. If I go that route, I'll let you all know how it goes.

Well, I've shaved a few times and not really thrilled with it, takes a lot of time, effort, and my chest winds up kinda scratched up looking. Tried nair this morning (about a 1 1/2 week since shaved) on arms and chest. Did pretty good job of removing the hair, but did irritate a good bit for awhile, mostly chest. But, the irritation went away fairly quickly and looking good. So, maybe I'll experiment with different brands and see if some irritate less and still do job. Thanks for all the suggestions, this has been a pretty interesting thread

Thanks for all the recommendations:-) I tried Nair this morning on my legs. (As part of my pre-race ritual. No, not because of the air resistance, but becuase I want to show off my sexy legs .

It worked very well. To prevent irritation (I have very sensitive skin) - after first washing off the cream with warm water, I washed my legs with very cold water. It helped. Yes, I know this cold wash could be less comfortable on chest....

Thanks again.
