Hightest!!!! It's okay, it happens. Just be sure to jump right back on the band wagon. If you find you are having a lot of sweet cravings after the first week or so, try adjusting other sweet things you may be eating (Atkins shakes, bars, candies, etc). Even if it's sugar free, it can trick your mind into thinking it wants sugar again.

Keep up the good work hun, you're doing great so far!

Consider starting a journal (again if you had one before.) It is so helpful.
There are a lot of saboteurs out there! I run into them all the time. Sometimes I can get around it and sometimes you know there is a lot of grief waiting - don't let it turn into a long disaster, just hop back on board. I've discovered its helpful if I have something "legal" on hand to eat that is dessert-y. Or snacky. If you have something on hand you can grab, it helps.
Good luck.
Kat

I will definately agree with vsalmon -- pick yourself up and keep on truckin! I am on day 5 and each day gets so much easier and I definately am getting to where I can pass up temptation -- which I NEVER could do before.

If I were you and trying to get back on track -- I would definately toss out the ice cream -- low carb or not! Eat only allowable vegggies and meats to get you through the cravings, etc.

When I start allowing carbs no on the list, even if I stay under my 20 carb allowance per day, I screw up each and every time.

Thanks! It is getting easier. Just starting to feel like I'm "running out" of options on Phase I as far as what to eat.....

Need to search around and get some ideas for variety.

Definitely keep a journal, even if it's for yours to read only. I find it useful to keep me on the straight and narrow, as I promised myself to update it several times a week. Check around for variety, there's a lot out there to choose from.

~CF1, I agree 100% on the journal. Keeping a public journal has helped me soooo much. And good on ya mate, I see you're progress as well!

~snowbaby44, For me it's changing how I cook/eat the same things. I may have chicken 6 nights a week, but you better bet none of them are anything alike. My Journal has a few days worth of what I'm eating. I'm trying to get more descriptive with what I eat so it may help someone someday. I stay on Induction, all the way, but I occasionally throw in a stage 2 snack or something like that. Example, I had a small piece of LC cheese cake that I made the other day which had a nut crust. Not quite Induction, but was only 3 carbs and my daily net carbs were only 11. Just add variety into your diet, browse the recipe section, pick up a LC cookbook. Hell, I go through normal cookbooks and say to myself, "hmmm, now how can I make this low carb?"

Best of luck to all the newbies and returnies (myself included)!

Edit: PilotGal, holy cow!!!!! 40 years of LC, that's amazing! I bow to you and your success!

Thank you. I'm still off track today. Really hard to get in the right frame of mind.

You can do it! [wiggle, wiggle, wiggle] just focus on all the wonderful foods you CAN eat, and have lots of it. (carb free foods I mean, like meats.)
