This area of the forum works just like the others. You’ll find pages and pages of threads on a wide variety of subjects—from physical and emotional challenges that are unique to us, to recipes and information sharing. I think you’ll find that people in the TDC are very open and share freely (part of feeling comfortable).
The best way to get involved in the TDC is by first posting an Introduction thread
so that other members can get to know you. As obvious as this is, many new people neglect taking this step and instead go directly into posting their introductions as replies within previously established threads. This tends to dilute the original focus of the thread and often the new person’s first foray into the TDC is inadvertently overlooked by other members of the group that have already participated fully in a thread.
And if you haven’t already done so, set up a personal journal
for yourself after you’ve explored the TDC. Your personal journal enables you to keep a record of your LC journey and allows other members to communicate with you directly rather than folding those more personal exchanges into threads. There’s one other stop I’d like to recommend to you within the TDC. It’s a new thread started by orchidday titled, “Sign-Up for 1 Year of TDC

There is nothing mandatory about participating in this thread (or any part of the forum), but you might find that making a promise to others to participate fully and check-in regularly might be just the extra bit of motivation you need in order to achieve your weight loss and better health goals!
