Smile Low Carb for Life ...

Greetings All & Happy New Year!

After too many years of low-fat "healthy" dieting and a combined weight gain of 60 some-odd pounds, my hubby and I decided we needed a change. Early in 1999 we stumbled upon Protein Power and began our low carb adventure on April 1, 1999.

(Ironic to choose April Fool's Day to do one of the smartest things we've ever done, eh?)

From day one we've been digustingly faithful to the plan ... it was actually the easiest "diet" (pardon the expression) that we'd ever tried. Fortunately, I'm a bit of culinary dabbler and I love to cook, so our menus are varied and according to DH, delicious.

I've been prowling through all the posts and find myself returning here at least daily for a bit of inspiration, a new recipe idea or just a good chuckle (some of the product review are a HOOT!!).

This is a wonderful forum - all the best to everyone with their goals.

Here's to a wonderful & healthy 2003!
