Hi folks, we have just upgraded our gallery software from PhotoPost 4.5 to 4.8.2.

Things should work just as usual, but if you notice any problems, please let me know.

I went to go look at a picture in the gallery and it says I need to be a registered user.

I'm a contributing member, what's up with that.

Oh and I did try logging out and logging back in again and it still won't let me do it.

HELP!

Everyone is welcome to the gallery, contributing or otherwise, so this has nothing to do with it.

Could you try closing your browser and trying again?

If that doesn't work, try clearing your cookies, and try again.

If anyone else has this problem, please let me know and please list your browser name and version.

I am having the same problem. I am using AOL with IE. Will try the hoiuse LAN net and see if that works.

PS...I tried the house LAN on IE (latest version) and deleted all cookies. It did not fix the problem of being told I have to be a registered user to view.

Have you tried to logout, and log back in?

Does it give any errors after login?

I had the same problem (using Firefox 1). Cleared the cookies and logged in. Didn't work.

Solved it - I did the seperate login on the gallery page, it recognised me and lets be back in freely.

I suspect that the gallery software requires a new cookie to be created for the first use.

Yep, that's what I found using both IE 6.029 and Netscape 7.2. Once I'd logged in separately to the gallery, all has been well since. In fact, I logged off the forum, and was still logged in to the gallery and able to view pics.

I had the same problem.. yes logging into the gallery separate from the main forum worked for me as well

Question.. on the new gallery beside my name in the description it says BF:7 ... what does this mean? I know that's not my BodyFat.. haha.. i wish!

I get the must be registered user message when trying to view a gallery picture also. Using Firefox 1.0 on a dial-up connection.
