Default do carb go into

Hi Karen --I would like to know if put something in water or broth(like a carrot then take it out) do i count these carbs. Also making my own herbal teas . Do I count all of these as carbs? Where i live I can't get good herbal tea so I'm going to make my own. Oh they have the national brands but they a lot to desire. They have stash and i don't like those. Thank you for your help Esther

The carbs from vegetables cooked in broths and herb teas is quite minimal, but I would count them as 1 carb per cup to be on the safe side.

Karen,

What about a broth made simply from bones, water and salt? (The kind I make after roast chicken.) Would that have any carbs? How about protein?
