Default Traveling tips please

So when traveling how do you stay LC?

I'd love to hear how everyone handles long driving trips where you can bring snacks to keep you awake (cause trust me this is an issue with me when my hubby wants to drive 10-12 hours a day).

And how do you handle it when you fly to your destination?

Of while going out of the country? We are planning a trip to Europe for later this year.

Thank you!!!

Lots of threads here on this subject. Here are a few:

I travel a lot, and if I'm taking a car trip, it's easy to pack some cold cuts wrapped in cheese with some mustard. Since I'm in ketosis and IF frequently, I don't always eat during a car trip, but will pack some high fat nuts like macadamias or pecans for a light snack. Water, unsweetened iced tea, soda water, etc are also good to have in a cooler.

During flights, I'm not typically eating unless I'm going overseas, and in that case, I'll bring a zip lock bag of the same nut combinations. This is really very easy if you're prepared. There are lots of ideas in the threads to which I provided links, and there are many road warriors here who will chime in. All the best!

Some countries, like the US, have restrictions on what agricultural products you can bring in (nuts, cheese, certain meats, etc.), so check out restrictions or plan to eat it all before you land. Otherwise they may confiscate it to prevent the spread of plant/animal diseases.

Thanks for the links and good ideas. I am traveling this week and was going to put off starting this way of eating until afterwards but then I figured if I am to make this my way of life I need to figure it out NOW.

Most grocery stores have a deli section and I find that the simplest way of eating when traveling. I also always keep a packed cooler in the car.
