Default Organic Produce Delivery

So excited!!! I just signed up for organic produce delivery in my area. Hubby and I are trying out every other week for $36/delivery. AND you can make substititions!!

I'm excited to try some veggies I wouldn't normally buy and really excited to see how we like it! If it works out, we'll do it every week (although probably the smaller quantity). And they make substitutions so we can get less fruit!!

I had to share my excitement with someone...you guys are the lucky ones to hear it Does anyone else do something similar? Below is the list of what's in this week's delivery....

$36.00 Regular Bin Contents

4 ea Gingergold Apples*

3ea Nectarines*

4 ea Valencia Oranges (Substituted romaine lettuce)

1 lb Pluots*

1 Bunch Bananas (Substituted spinach)

1 lb Grapes (Substituted more onions)

1 Bunch Romaine Lettuce*

1 Bunch Celery*

1-2 ea Yellow Onions*

1-2 ea Cucumbers*

2 ea Tomatoes*

1 Bunch Spinach*

Thats wonderful!
I've read that fruits that require peeling, like bananas, are not needing to be organic. ? but I don't know if thats true.

That makes total sense, Judy. I really wanted to do this more for the variety and convenience...rather than solely because it's organic. They also will add organic beef to your order, but I'm not going that direction...they'd probably wonder what army I feed

I do like that most of the stuff is local (except bananas oranges and grapes - but I dont' want those anyway!). I guess it's just another reason to love Seattle - that and the coffee

OMG! Seattle coffee( a little shop called Starbucks ) made my trip there in 1985.
I said back then that they should open these coffee shops all over the place....I even wanted to open one myself. If I knew then what I know now....I'd be a very happy lady!
