Hi

New to this site and Atkins. In my second week of induction ...12 days in. So far it's been good...I find my appetite is much more in control with removing carbs. I have found the second week has been hard with headaches which I did not have the 1 st week...wondering if this is normal. Looking to meet new people .....

Hi, Sunita!

How is your salt intake? We lose lots of salt on low carb, and don't store it nearly as efficiently as with carbs, so, despite everything you read about the evils of salt, you actually need MORE, especially when you are washing out the extra water in the first couple of weeks.

You can drink bone broth that's salty, or add more than you are used to to everything.

My issue with low salt was terrible leg cramps, so, till I got used to the levels, I would put a half teaspoon in a big glass of water and drink it every morning.

Welcome, Sunita. You'll meet many cordial and helpful people on this site.

The first few weeks of LC can be rocky. Hang in there. Ask any questions that occur to you. However, before you ask, check the "sticky" links a the top of many forum sections. You can be sure that most of your early questions have been asked before, and that's where you'll often find helpful links and comments.

Best wishes.

Thanks everyone. Started the increase salt yesterday. I have to say I have struggled my whole life and for once I'm not straving in this plan ...I feel satisfied.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Have a great weekend.
