Momma Bear...you lost 1/2 a lb overnight.

That is movement in the right direction.
Don't look at the challenge, look at the whoosh that happened!
Good choices, good results!!!

Here I go on the teeter taughter again 😫 Why does my body do this! I'll get 2-3 good days then it goes up in oz.
I mean, I'm still losing weight but it's just so different from my past weight loss experiences. Older and it does become more difficult 😔

How much have you lost so far since you started this time Susan?
Tell us all so we can tell you, you are getting older and BETTER!!!!
It might be as simple as water weight bouncing and you actually are losing fat at a stead rate.....once you post that number lost since you started back.....you will get positive feed back from this group.
I will give you one of these for each lb....how many am I putting down for you?

I stayed the same AGAIN. My body is healing itself and adapting to a completely different diet. I just want to rush through it and see the scale number go down.

Do you ever think about what this diet does? What is happening inside of our cells? It's potent enough to cure diabetes and high blood pressure.

We're on the right path smullen. Be patient with me.

Thanks, Scotiagirl. I know I need to keep positive. Like smullen, I bounce up and down. I did average my weights from last week and I am actually down 2 ounces. I will take it!

Go team, go!

What was I thinking I want the weightloss. 4 days of the same weight and there was no whoosh today. 5 days at the same weight tomorrow will require me to become more patient (yeah personal growth).

This hasn't happened to me before I don't understand.

Seeing results gives me the incentive to stay the course. Learning to be patient and not give in.

[QUOTE=khrussva]Maybe you had no weight loss, but you very well may have had some fat loss. My first 3 months I could not reliably weigh myself on the scale at home. I was too heavy. Once I'd lost enough and started weighing daily at home I as obsessed and stressed about the scale as everybody else. I had such a long way to go and I knew it was going to take a long time. It didn't take too much time before I started to see a pattern in my weight loss. I'd plateau for weeks (give or take a few pounds) and then have a 2 or 3 day whose. One time I went 5 weeks without a loss which was followed up by a 10 pound drop in 3 days. You can't lose 10 pounds of fat in 3 days. I'd been losing fat all along and it was being replaced by water as a place-holder. When I finally convinced my body that I was not going to fill up those fat cells again it flushed some water and closed those puppies down. Sometimes I'd plateau for only a week and drop a pound or two. More often than not it was 2 to 3 weeks at the same number followed by a 4 or 5 pound drop. Eventually I learned to chill out about the scale number each day. I learned to just wait it out.

If you really think about it, not gaining is a scale victory. What will throwing in the towel accomplish? Nothing good, I can assure you. You do your part and eat right. Eventually the scale will yield.
