Default What's the Hardest thing for You to "Give Up" on LC?

I personally have no trouble greatly limiting my intake of pastries, cakes, bread, rice, pasta and most other similar high carb foods. But man oh man, I find it very unpleasant to have to limit my fruit intake. I can easily eat mountains of sugary fruits. Love the stuff. But I've managed to move away from high sugar fruits mostly, and stick strictly with lower sugar fruits, and watch my portions, as I'm slowly moving from a "Life without Bread" carb intake of about 70 to 100 grams of carbs per day, down to around 50 to 60 grams per day.

Oh yeah...I also find it very hard to resist the "sugar-free" ice creams my wife keeps bringing home for the kids and herself. I do for the most part...but that stuff will sometime be calling my name from across the house when I know it's in my freezer.

I miss that too. I gave that up because I was afraid my son would get a hold of those bits of kernels that always make it under the furniture.

Default Carbs I miss...

Top 6 that I still crave constantly (in pretty much this order):

1) Monster Energy Drinks (I would give my left arm just to have one and not sabotage my diet.)

2) all forms of pasta (ravioli and fettuccine esp.)

3) pizza

4) Chocolate ice cream

5) Chocolate-glazed donuts

6) Tortillas

1. Potato chips...all kind.

2. French fries

Those are the only two things I miss the most and wish I can add them to my plan somehow, someway, someday! Wishful thinking I kno, but I absolute love them.

This.
Or sliced thin and fried with onion, bacon and scrambled eggs.
Low carb eating is delicious and sustainable more so than any other WOE, and I don't sit around mourning for potatoes, but you asked, and that is one thing I miss.

That and donuts

BUT I also don't miss my diabetes... YAY!!!

Crusty fresh baked breads, whole grain tortillas, corn on the cob, homemade waffles and hotcakes. Potatoes? I still allow sweet potato on occasion. Pasta = paste IMO

I don't miss : feeling sick, feeling bloated, having my feet swollen every night to the point I can't feel them, having my knees swell so much I can't bend them, high blood pressure, diabetic symptoms, stomach aches, gastrointestinal distress, my hair falling out in little clumps, feeling too tired to move, being unable to exercise for more than 10minutes at a time.

These are just some of the symptoms I had eating SAD.

I don't miss anything about eating high carb, at all.

It made my life miserable and difficult and it caused me to have to take a lot of medications I don't have to take anymore.

I say... Good Riddance! I LOVE the way I eat! I LOVE the foods available to me!! I LOVE how great I feel! I LOVE that I can exercise and play tennis with my girls and not feel tired out from it after 10 minutes.

I think we all in some form or another share that sentiment!
