Question Your Carb Count on Your Tiramisu

Hi, I was excited to see your recipe, until I looked at your math. I am probably incorrect, but I felt a little uneasy with your net carb calculation, and hope you can set me straight so maybe I can make this and finally think about my favorite dessert low carb style.

1. You totaled the carb count;

2. You subtracted the fiber count;

3. You divided the servings carb count; however,

4. You subtracted the fiber count again, but from each serving?

How is that possible to subtract the fiber count a second time, if you've already subtracted it from the total carb count? Help me see how.

Thank.

Hi, Nancy, I wrote my question in my post about the double subtraction of fiber per individual servings.

My question: You already subtracted the total fiber from the total carb count of the dessert; why would you subtract it again for individual servings?

Wouldn't the carb count be the same? If not, why not?

I think Nancy was asking: to whom are you asking the question? Whose tiramisu? If you post a link to the recipe, someone can probably answer your question.

Linda, if you are talking about Karen's recipe for tiramisu here, if you have another look, you can see that she doesn't subtract the fibre twice.

For those wondering why Linda seems to be talking to no one, Karen's recipes all have a "Discuss this recipe with Karen!" button, which used to take members directly to Karen's subforum. But since Karen no longer posts here, our webmaster has arranged it so that those posts go the Kitchen Talk instead.

I looked at Karen's recipe and I see the confusion.
She gives the whole recipes carbs first with fiber and then without fiber. She then does the single serving carbs first with fiber the other without fiber.

She does this for some people (Like me) don't do net carbs. And I am thankful.
