Default Bacon fat salad dressing

Very simple. I make myself large salads and combine 1 Tbl of bacon fat (heated until melted) with about 1 Tbl of vinegar and 1 tsp of splenda.

It is SOOOO yummy!

BLT Salad

Bacon fat ~ room temp .. pour off the liquid fat on top

Whisk that into a good heavy mayo till it tastes nice and bacon-y

Add cider vinegar till the dressing is like a thick cole slaw dressing, add cracked black pepper to taste, a shot of your favorite red pepper hot sauce doesn't hurt but isn't required, salt is usually not required.

Toss dressing with chopped lettuce .. I prefer a romaine blend myself ... and some tomatoes, top with bacon bits and croutons if you have some low carb alternatives available, someone told me they use a almond flour muffin mix to make mini loaves to cut up for croutons, I haven't tried that yet but I think the almond would go well with this.

Some people at the restaurant also ordered a burger patty with this for a BLT Burger salad and grilled chicken was also quite popular and believe it or not cajun catfish strips (pan fried)
