Default New scrubs!

I'm nowhere near goal, and I haven't been weighing myself for months so I have no idea what I weigh.

Today, though, I grabbed the wrong size pair of scrubs pants from the laundry by mistake, and decided to try them on anyway. They fit! And here's the kicker, they're size MEDIUM!!! I'm out of the larges... And here I used to wear XL, and 4x in tunics...

The pants were a little too uncomfortably snug for a whole day's work, so I grabbed another pair in large, and tried on a medium tunic, just for kicks. And that's my new size. Large pants, though not for much longer, but medium tunic. I feel wonderful!

On another note, I've been busting my butt in the gym, lifting free weights. The only bodyweight exercise I do is Australian chinups, in a sling for more instability, and a truncated Pilates stomach series after every session. And I'm noticably stronger! Not only can I lift much more weight, and with better form, but under the flabby fat on my stomach are some rock-hard abs! I can actually feel there's going to be a stunning six-pack in there when I can get the excess skin removed!

Another milestone that almost went unnoticed; I'm a church chorister, in a Lutheran protestant church (Church of Norway) that nevertheless has some anglican/episcopalian liturgical elements, and where the choir regularly sings evensongs. In our regular high masses every sunday, we kneel, and usually sing the agnus dei kneeling.

This past sunday, my knees didn't hurt when I was kneeling, for the first time in years! Usually I'm in pain the whole time, and have trouble standing up again afterwards. This time, zip, nada, zilch! When I was very heavy, I was thinking of getting a pillow to take with me to kneel on, now I won't have to! These moments make it all worth it.

Wow, congratulations! It is truly amazing how well the body works when it is fit! I have been going to Physical Therapy for months, on very conservative exercises...then they ramped things up, and suddenly I am able to do all manner of reaching and stretching, etc.... like an 8 year old! haha I'm exaggerating but it feels great. I'll bet your knees are much happier due to weight loss, too.

Anyway I'm happy for you!

I just wanted to add congratulations. What a great job you have done. Its like it all of a sudden sneaks up on you, you notice something little like being able to bend easier or faster, or more comfortably!

YEA! It is the little things that sneak in and surprise us that make this so much fun! Smaller clothes and knees that don't hurt. YEA!
