Default A great new tortilla method...yum!

I'm a fan of cheese tortilla tacos, and I've been used to broiling them on a silpat and then turning them over...it works pretty good but not great.

Today I stumbled on this video and tried it and it works so darned well the tacos were the best tasting that I've ever made!

Here's the link:

And here is a picture of the tacos.

Thanks for posting, I might try... ! Oh and I read in a comment, you can use a paper plate to make the mold, so you don't have to go buy taco shells!

This was epic fail for my family. They love cheese and tacos but these were greasy and too chewy, so we resorted to taco salads. So I'm still looking for tortilla alternatives.

You can make a thin sort of bread circle to use as a wrap by using one of the several variations of flax seed bread recipes

Several links in this thread
http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=221144

Just use a portion of the "batter/dough" and spread it thinly out into a circle shape on parchment paper or a silicon baking sheet. Most recipes would make a few "wraps".

You could probably make them like thin pancakes in a frying pan instead of using the oven or microwave if you prefer them crispy
