So glad you liked the Kashmiri chicken. Coming from someone native to that general area, that is quite a nice compliment! I haven't made it in awhile and need to do so again soon! I think the last Indian food I made a few weeks ago was a tasty Tikka Masala Curry.

Actually, Buttoni is my husband's nickname for our little 13# pet rat terrier, Button. He has "Italianized" a nickname for all our dogs over the years: our dog Pepper became "Perreroni", Johann became "Giovanni", "Chili" became "Cellini". it's just what he does.

I find myself having most of my Indian dishes on either mashed, riced or chunk steamed cauliflower, Alli. Occasionally, if a beef or ground beef dish like my Kheema Matar, I'll put it over finely shredded, sauteed cabbage by preference. I'd be lying if I said I like Indian food as well without the nutty, exotic taste of basmati rice. But I'm learning to accept that absence of flavor.
